COMPLIANCE & SAFETY

What it meets

ASHRAE 110 containment-testing references, SEFA fume hood guidance, UL-related electrical review where applicable, and radiation-safety planning requirements for low-level radioisotope use.

Why it matters

Supports review of containment, airflow, liner/worksurface selection, and project documentation for labs handling low-level radioactive materials.

Where it applies

Use where the application involves low-level radioisotope work. Confirm final requirements with the facility radiation safety officer, project engineer, and local review process.

Frequently asked questions

Is this quote-only?

Yes. Fume hoods should be quoted by configuration because width, liner, sash, services, blower, and base/countertop selections affect the final product.

Are blowers included?

Blowers are listed as optional equipment and should be sized to the hood and ductwork.

Can dimensions be customized?

Standard sizes are available on the cut sheets; custom sizes are available where noted and must be validated by iQ Labs.
