Shipping policy
Order Processing and Lead Times
Most iQ Labs products are manufactured, configured, or finished based on project requirements. Lead times begin only after all required order details are complete, including final product selections, approved drawings or submittals when required, finish or color selection, option selection, payment or credit approval, and confirmed shipping information.
Estimated lead times are provided in good faith and may change due to order size, customization, material availability, production schedule, engineering requirements, carrier availability, weather, jobsite readiness, or pending approvals. iQ Labs will work to communicate schedule changes clearly and help customers plan receiving and installation appropriately.

Shipping Terms and Freight Billing
iQ Labs ships FOB origin. Freight is typically prepaid and added to the order. If an order does not ship prepaid and added, the customer must use their own carrier and sign the required release before shipment.
Large laboratory furniture, fume hoods, casework, worksurfaces, and assembled products typically ship by freight carrier. Smaller accessories and replacement parts may ship by parcel or freight depending on size, weight, fragility, and order configuration.
Accessorial Services
Freight charges quoted by iQ Labs include the services disclosed and planned at the time of quote. If the customer or dealer does not notify iQ Labs that liftgate service, special delivery service, limited-access delivery, delivery appointment, or other special handling is required, additional charges may be added after shipment.
To avoid delivery issues or additional charges, customers and dealers should disclose all receiving requirements before shipment, including loading dock availability, forklift availability, liftgate needs, school or campus delivery restrictions, jobsite access limitations, delivery appointment requirements, and any limited-access conditions.
Delivery Inspection
To protect the customer, the product, and any freight claim rights, all shipments should be inspected at the time of delivery and before the delivery receipt or bill of lading is signed.
· Confirm that the number of pallets, crates, cartons, or pieces matches the carrier paperwork.
· Inspect packaging for dents, punctures, crushed corners, broken bands, water exposure, tipping, or other visible damage.
· Note any visible damage, shortage, or irregularity on the carrier paperwork before signing.
· Take photos of the shipment while still packaged, including any damage and the carrier paperwork.
· Keep all packaging materials until the shipment has been fully inspected and any issue has been resolved.
Visible Damage, Concealed Damage, and Shortages
Freight damage is separate from product warranty. Warranty coverage applies to manufacturing defects; shipping damage, concealed damage, carrier loss, and shipment shortages must be documented through the freight-damage process.
Visible damage or shortage must be noted on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing for delivery. If no damage is noted at the time of delivery, the carrier may limit or deny freight-claim rights.
Concealed damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Preserve all packaging materials and do not dispose of cartons, crates, pallets, or protective packaging until iQ Labs has reviewed the issue.
Freight Claim Documentation
Freight-claim documentation should be submitted to sales@iq-laboratory.com. To help iQ Labs review and support the claim, include the following:
· Order number.
· Photos of the shipment, packaging, and damaged or missing product.
· Signed bill of lading or delivery receipt showing any noted damage or shortage.
· Delivery date and a short written description of the issue.
Freight claims are managed by the customer or dealer, as applicable, with supporting documentation provided to iQ Labs. iQ Labs will assist with review and documentation where possible, but carrier claim rights depend on the delivery record, timing, documentation, and applicable carrier rules.
Installation and Site Readiness
Unless specifically included in the quote, shipping does not include unloading, unpacking, assembly, installation, anchoring, leveling, utility connection, ventilation connection, plumbing, electrical work, ductwork, blower installation, airflow testing, certification, or disposal of packaging materials.
Fume hoods and laboratory furniture must be installed according to applicable iQ Labs instructions, project drawings, site conditions, safety requirements, and local codes. Electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical, ductwork, ventilation, and certification work should be handled by qualified customer contractors unless expressly included in writing.
When iQ Labs Provides Direct Installation
When direct installation by iQ Labs is included in the written project scope, the standard installation scope includes assembly, setting products in place, leveling, and site cleanup. Trade services are not included in the standard installation scope. Electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical, ductwork, ventilation, and other trade services must be handled by customer-provided contractors unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Storage, Failed Delivery, Re-Delivery, and Waiting-Time Charges
The customer or dealer is responsible for ensuring the delivery site is ready to receive the shipment. If the site is not ready, access is unavailable, delivery cannot be completed, receiving equipment or personnel are not available, or the carrier is delayed due to site conditions, additional charges may apply.
Additional charges may include storage, demurrage, carrier waiting time, failed delivery, re-delivery, appointment rescheduling, or other carrier-assessed fees. These charges are the responsibility of the customer or dealer when caused by incomplete site readiness, inaccurate receiving information, or undisclosed delivery requirements.
Order Changes, Cancellations, and Returns
Many iQ Labs products are made to order, custom-configured, or built for a specific project. Order changes or cancellations may not be possible after production begins. Any approved change may affect price, lead time, shipping method, or product configuration.
Products, accessories, and replacement parts are non-returnable, including unopened standard accessories and replacement parts. No product should be returned without written authorization from iQ Labs. Written authorization may be issued only when needed to resolve an approved warranty, shipment, or order issue.
